1967: EMI rush releases The Beatles’ album “Sgt. Pepper’s lonely hearts Club Band” in London and select markets in the UK, prior to nationwide release, it went to number one for 15 weeks in the US and 22 weeks in the UK.

On this day, the album, ‘Sgt. Pepper’s lonely hearts club Band’ by The Beatles’ was released. Considered one of the greatest albums of all time because of all those experiments done on it by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Prior to nationwide release, it went to number one for 15 weeks in the US and 22 weeks in the UK!
